How Data Shows You Exactly Where Your Next $100K Is Hiding

Most business owners feel their way through growth. They guess, try things, and hope something sticks. That works when you are small. It stops working when you want to grow faster and smarter.

I’m a data scientist. That means I don’t guess. I measure. And when I work with you, I’m looking for patterns. I want to know what’s working, what’s wasting money, what’s slowing you down, and what could be improved with small changes.

And that’s where the money is. The quickest wins are often hiding in inefficiencies.

Every business has them. Money wasted on ads. Leads that never get followed up on. Offers that confuse your best prospects. Processes that take too long. And people doing things manually that should be automated.

Why does this get missed so often? Because you can’t fix what you can’t see. Which is why I love numbers. Data gives you insight.

Let me show you what that looks like in real terms.

Imagine a business spending $5,000 a month on marketing.

They get 200 leads at $25 per lead.

Out of those 200 leads, 20 become clients. That’s a 10 percent conversion rate. Not bad right?

Each client is worth $2,500. That’s $50,000 in revenue from $5,000 in spend.

On the surface, that looks great. But now we look closer.

We find that:

  • 40 leads never get contacted at all, staff was too busy with other tasks.
  • 60 leads get contacted once and then forgotten. No follow-up email, call…nothing.
  • Only 100 leads actually get a real follow-up.

So your real conversion rate is not 10 percent of 200. It’s 20 percent of 100. That means half your leads are being wasted.

Now fix one thing.

You build a simple follow-up system so every lead gets contacted properly.

You don’t change your ads or budget. You don’t work more hours.

Now all 200 leads get real follow-up.

If 20 percent convert, that’s now 40 clients instead of 20.

40 clients at $2,500 each is $100,000.

Same spend. Same leads. Same effort. And you just doubled revenue by fixing one leak. That’s what data does. It shows you where money is falling on the floor.

Another example.

A client is running three marketing campaigns.

Campaign A costs $2,000 and brings in $20,000.
Campaign B costs $2,000 and brings in $6,000.
Campaign C costs $1,000 and brings in $2,000.

Most people look at that and say, “We’re making money, so it’s fine.”

But data says something different.

Campaign A is making $10 for every $1 spent.
Campaign B is making $3 for every $1 spent.
Campaign C is making $2 for every $1 spent.

If you shift budget from C and B into A, revenue goes up without increasing spend.

Simple. But most business owners miss this because they don’t run the numbers.

Now, imagine you move $2,000 from the weakest campaign into the strongest. That could add $20,000 in revenue without spending a single extra dollar. Do that five times in a year, and there is your $100K.

This is why I specialize in helping clients analyze their business at every level. Not just marketing. Everything. Marketing. Sales. Follow up. Operations. Team workflow. Time usage.

Efficiency is not about being busy. It is about being effective. And data shows where you’re slow, where you’re leaking, and where you’re wasting effort.

I look at questions like:

How long does it take to respond to a lead.
How many touches does it take to close.
Where do people drop off.
What offers convert best.
What channels bring your best buyers.
Which activities make money and which just feel productive.

Then we adjust.

Sometimes that means:

  • Cutting budget where it is being wasted
  • Moving money to what actually works
  • Fixing broken follow-up
  • Simplifying offers
  • Automating manual tasks
  • Changing how the team uses time

Every one of those changes increases efficiency, and efficiency is how you grow without burning out.

When every marketing dollar counts, you stop chasing shiny ideas. You invest where returns are proven. And you grow your business with calm certainty.

That’s how $100K stops feeling like a mountain and starts feeling like a project. When you see your business clearly, decisions get easier. You stop guessing and hopping and start choosing based on truth. And truth grows faster than guesswork every time.
