Are you planning to use email campaigns to communicate with your prospects or clients? Here are some quick tips to help you get the best results.

Experiment with your “call to action” in the email.

It is crucial to give your customer a path to follow at the end of your marketing email. You should test these calls to action and track the response rate for each. As soon as you are done with your analysis, it is recommended that you choose the most response-driven option and distribute it to the largest amount of the customers that are available to you. It will take you some time to figure out the most approachable message, but it is vital for your marketing campaign to be tailored for success.

Tailor your message to your audience.

Put yourself in your customer’s head. Are you a dentist looking to build rapport with parents of young families? Talk about braces, not implants. Think about what information they want and need to not get flagged as spam. Figure out your ‘client avatar’ – who they are, there hobbies, jobs, family life, etc. By doing this simple exercise, you can trim the email copy and ensure that is it engaging. Also, keep your message clear and easy to understand, avoid wrapping your point into advertisement fluff.

Don’t overuse the media in your email.

I know it is tempting to use all these fancy pictures, GIFs, video links, maps, web services etc. Try to follow the simple rule: the media in your email must highlight the initial message of the text. This point sends us back to the call-to-action. Avoid choosing style over substance in your marketing! It is generally okay to use an image or a Gif in the email, keep the video links and complex design choices to the “special” event, but don’t make them mainstream in your marketing campaign.
