The way that your website is designed has never been more important.  If you want to attract visitors to your website, it has to be designed to attract them.  Search engines are one of the keys to marketing a website.  The easier the website is to find, the more likely people will visit it.  Google and other search engines have made some recent changes that make the web design process even more important.

 

When the internet first started gaining popularity, the best way to market a website was by coming up with a catchy domain name.  As more websites filled up the internet, a name was not enough.  Websites started employing search engine optimization techniques to help market their websites.  The right SEO techniques allowed the website to achieve a higher ranking for the search engines.  The higher the ranking, the more likely a website would be found when people used a search engine.

 

Tools such as keywords and back links became the buzz words that were often used when talking about SEO marketing.  These things still exist, but the changes that have been made to search engine algorithms has made them less important.  Now, websites have to make sure the design of the website fits the right profile and has to learn the new words that are popular with SEO marketing.

 

Meta Tags, Meta headlines and relevant content are what the SEO experts are talking to their clients about.  The images that are place on the website and the use of logos and banners also can now help improve a websites ranking.  The result of these changes is that what used to be easy is now more difficult.  If a business wants to have a successful website, they are going to need the help of a professional website designer and an SEO marketing executive. It is no longer something anyone can do.
