Hi, I am Parthiv Shah, I am one of the volunteers at Sanyas Ashram, USA and the leadership team has assigned me the task to generate $7500 to help pay for the kitchen utensils, the outdoor kitchen apparatus (burners, propane tanks etc.) and the HUGE tent we bought to house guests like you for events. In May 2025, we are hosting Bhagvat Saptah from May 17th to May 25th and throughout the week we are going to have 'bhandara' so guests like you can enjoy home cooked, (cooked in Ashram) meals.

On this page, I am asking my personal friends and friends of Sanyas Ashram USA to donate generously and help me reach my goal of $7500. My CPA Himanshu Trivedi and I kicked off this fundraiser with $501 each and we have raised another thousand or so dollars so far. I will update this page each week to tell you how far I am from the goal.

The kitchen at the Ashram is a bare-bone necessity. Ashram is located in Monrovia, Maryland with no nearby food options (except the SBAT temple about a mile away). Most events are on weeknights at weekend evenings. If you come to Monrovia for a 6PM ceremoney, you will have to leave your home or office at 5PM or so, and when you are ready to go home after 8PM, you are not just hungry, but STARVING. To make things convenient for guests like you, our volunteer team take turn cooking food for guests and serve fresh cooked food free to everyone. (Donations of cash, groceries and labor are graciously accepted).

But we need money for Kitchen infrastructure to be able to cook and serve food to several dozen to several hundred people. This fundraiser is for that. This is a capital expense, and for that reason this project is assigned to me. Please join me and my team of fundraising volunteers to help pay for kitchen

Volunteers of Ashram began creating a shutterstock photo-book to show pictures of the kitchen utensils. Everything you see here is already here in Maryland and in use for Ashram. When you visit the ashram, you will see the kitchen and the everything else live in action.
