The Truth About the Post Covid Business World

Written by Parthiv Shah | Aug 11, 2020 12:00:00 PM

The world is changing at light speed, still.  It’s been 5 months since the stock market crashed because of Covid.

Pandemic declared, a national emergency, commerce shut down, businesses closing for ever, mask wearing mandates…

The whole world has changed and it will not go back.  Not anytime soon anyway.

We are facing a very difficult time in the next 5 years.  With the Fed printing money at light speed, we run the risk of massive price inflation without corresponding economic expansion.

It’s called stagflation, and it is the most difficult of times for businesses…

And the most opportune.

No longer will second rate service providers, and second rate marketers survive.  Businesses who can’t find prospects and sell their wares, AND deliver a first rate product will die…

Quickly.

Here’s the good news, because you know that is what will happen you have a chance to up your marketing game, fix holes in your deliverables, and plug the financial holes in your business.

By making sure your deliverables are top flight, running lean, being maneuverable, and getting your marketing systems dialed in…

You set yourself up for massive growth.  I’m not talking about incremental growth…

I’m talking about 10X, 20X, or more as the economy starts growing again.  Yeah you might have to wait 5 years before you start seeing exponential growth (not necessarily - but let’s think about the worst case), you can still keep your margins strong, your profits steadily growing, and keep your business thriving through the tough times.

But ONLY if you put the work in right now to get ready.

Look, there is no time to waste.   Last week as I write this, Marketwatch.com pointed out that 55% of the businesses on Yelp have shut down for good.

That means we have a massive recession - likely a depression - happening right now.

The good news is, more millionaires were made during the Great Depression than in any other comparable period of time before that.  And that was when a million dollars meant something.

In 5 years people will say the same thing about billionaires during the Second Great Depression of 2020.  Or the Great Covid Depression of 2020.
