From Ideas to Action: What Dentists Are Doing After the Dental Growth & Exit Summit

Written by Parthiv Shah | Jan 14, 2026 1:30:00 PM

There’s a big difference between consuming information and implementing transformation.

After our recent Dental Growth & Exit Summit, I’ve been watching something encouraging happen:

Dentists aren’t calling me to say, “What a great event.”

They’re saying, “Here’s what I’m changing.

And that’s the whole point. This summit was never meant to be a one-time “feel-good” CE session. It was designed to be a launchpad for 2026, a way to set your growth, systems, and exit planning on a completely different trajectory.

Let me share what I’m seeing, what I’m hearing, and how you can plug into the same momentum, even if you couldn’t attend live.

The Conversations Happening Right Now

In the days after the summit, dentists have reached out to me with very specific plans:

  • One doctor told me he sees now how his marketing, insurance, and systems need to be aligned instead of operating as three separate worlds.
  • Another said she sat down with her office manager to map out the bottlenecks that keep them from presenting (and closing) more high-value treatment.
  • A third told me he reached out to his accountant and attorney because Stan made him realize how critical it is to prepare for his exit now, while there’s still plenty of time before he plans to exit.

That’s exactly the kind of reaction we hoped for. Education is valuable. But implementation is priceless.

One of the most energizing parts of the summit for me personally was our discussion of the three EDRA-published books that tied the entire morning together:

  1. Dr. Chris Phelps – The Complete Book on Dental Marketing
Chris gave dentists the mindset and tools to stop guessing about marketing and start understanding the psychology behind patient decisions.
  2. Dr. Travis Campbell – Understanding Dental Insurance
Travis helped doctors understand that insurance is not just a nuisance; it’s a leverage point. A place where clarity and systems can unlock huge amounts of hidden profitability.
  3. And me, Parthiv Shah, and my new book, Dental Growth Machine
My role was to show how to turn all of this into a machine, a repeatable system that drives new patient flow, high-value cases, and consistent growth.

At the summit, we talked about how these three books integrate into a library of action.

  • You use Chris’s work to attract and convert the right patients.
  • You use Travis’s work to keep more of what you produce and stop letting insurance erode your margin.
  • You use my work to build the long-term engine that stabilizes and scales your practice.

We’ve essentially created a blueprint you can read, study, and implement chapter by chapter.

And Stan Kinder and Dr. Michael Goldberg tied it all together.

Stan’s session was like pulling back the curtain on a world most dentists never see. Hearing him explain:

  • Why two practices with similar revenue get wildly different offers
  • What buyers quietly discount
  • How a few decisions today can cost or gain you millions later

Dentists told me afterward, “I had no idea how differently buyers think.”

Michael’s contribution was equally powerful. He reminded everyone that systems and leadership are not “nice-to-have extras.” They are essential assets. They are part of your practice value. They dictate stability, growth, team culture, and how attractive your practice looks to any future buyer or associate.

Their presence made this summit more than a “growth course.” It became a whole-practice strategy session.

If You Missed the Summit, You Don’t Have to Miss the Shift

If you weren’t able to attend live, or even if you did attend and want to go deeper, the best way to lock in what you learned (or should have learned!) is to build your own Dental Growth Library.

You can do that by grabbing:

  • The Complete Book on Dental Marketing — Dr. Chris Phelps
  • Understanding Dental Insurance — Dr. Travis Campbell
  • Dental Growth Machine — by yours truly, Parthiv Shah

You can get my book alone, or all three together here:

www.dentalgrowthlibrary.com

Think of it this way: The summit was the map. These books are the toolbox.

You’ll revisit them again and again as you:

  • Redesign your marketing
  • Train your team on insurance
  • Refine your systems
  • Prepare for a stronger exit, whether that’s in 2 years or 10

2026 Is Already Moving. The Question Is: Are You?

The new year doesn’t wait. Patients, expenses, and DSOs don’t wait. Time certainly doesn’t wait. But you still have a choice. You can continue to work hard and “see what happens,” or you can work from a proven framework, backed by people who have done it, documented it, and taught it.

If the summit lit a fire under you, or if reading this is doing that now, don’t let the moment pass.

Go to www.dentalgrowthlibrary.com and get the books that will guide your next moves.

Let’s turn ideas into action, and action into results.

To your unstoppable success,
