The picture above is a rice farm. In rice farming they flood the field with water. Every grain takes as much water as it needs: rest of the water goes in the ground to make the ground fertile. In agriculture, this process is called 'flood irrigation'.
Farmers who do not have the luxury of having ample water resources do not engage in rice farming. In hotriculture world they lay down the pipes, make holes in the pipe so each plant and tree gets just the right amount of water and the rest of the land is left dry. This method of farming is called 'drip irrigation'.
Large consumer product companies like Reebok, Coke and Gillette markets themselves using rice farming method. This kind of marketing works only if you have access to a lot of resources. If you do not have adequate resources to compete against your rivals in brand development you can put your brand development efforts on hold and engage in transaction focused marketing.
Our company was born in 2002 in post 9/11 economic down time. We have worked for many fortune 500 companies in those times helping them build a database marketing system and data workflow so those 'traditional rice farmers' can migrate to transaction focused marketing. We can tell you stories of Reebok teaming up with Footlocker, MTV teaming up with Soundbite, Gillette teaming up with Stop & Shop and so on.
So in post 2007 economic down turn we had a business process in place to help large companies looking to cut down their budgets. At times like this clients like Centex Homes and the likes engaged with Elaunchers.Com. We created business processes and transaction focused workflow that helped these companies trim their marketing budget significantly.
We do not discount the value of brand development. The problem is... you may not be able to afford to do it right, and if you don't do it right, it may not be worth it.
If you have fewere resources then your competitors and if you want to engage in a transaction focused marketing, perhaps you will benefit from our proven business process. In most cases our process will generate measurable and impressive results in twelve to fifteen weeks.
The process has four elements:
Plan
Prepare
Penetrate
Track
The slideshow on home page splits up our four part business process in its core elements. You may or may not need all the elements, but you will definitely need the core process. The diagram below describes the core of our process. In the center of the core is 'Jane' the customer.
Jane buys your services. Jane decides what to buy, when to buy, how much to spend and who to spend money with. It's all about finding and tracking Jane in our system.
We first start with a market segmentation process in your data warehouse. Your online data warehouse will be a central reservoir of all your databases, spreadsheets and tables. Your segmentation process will identify various prospects in various segments.
When you are ready to deploy a campaign you will first need to develop a plan and build your team. Your marketing team may be made up of your staff, your vendors' staff and our staff. You will need a collaborative on line war room to coordinate all the activities among your team members.
Once your activities are coordinated, budgets are approved and concepts/strategies are developed you are ready to deploy your marketing message. We can help you deploy a cross media marketing campaign that can integrate direct mail, e-mail, telemarketing and search engine marketing.
Once your integrated campaign is successful, your prospects will try to reach you and tell you that they are interested in you. At that time your web site, your micro sites and your landing pages must be ready to welcome the incoming leads, capture the information, thank the prospect, distribute information to the prospect, add the data to your CRM and alert your sales staff.
If you don't have this entire process in place... you are probably wasting your marketing dollars.
