 Mapping & Geography
Identifying your geography is one of the most important decisions you will ever make in defining the scope of your direct marketing. We have spent years looking at and drawing maps that make sense and serves as a decisions support tool for marketers to make strategic decisions about pin pointing the prospect universe. We study marketing maps the way Army studies topographical maps of the battlefield. After all, direct marketing is a battle for market share.
How to define your geography
Here are some examples of maps drawn for various purposes. As you can see, by using the maps properly you can understand your geography and target with higher precision:
International
If your product needs to be marketed outside USA, we can talk about lists available overseas.
National
Choose this option if you are marketing your product throughout US.
States
You can select multiple states or one state to include in your geography.
SCF
First three digits or the zip code is called SCF or a Sectional Center Facility. All zip codes with same first 3 digits belong to the same SCF.
County
Some lists allow you to select by county.
Radius and Drive time
Some lists allow you to draw radius from a building or a center of a zip code. When that is not available we can draw a radius or a drive time zone on a map and select zip codes that fall in that geography.
Streets and Block group
When you want to target a portion of a zip code, this is an option.
